The workshop will bring together scholars from a wide range of backgrounds to present new and exciting research that explores the use of technology for public purposes, and propose creative solutions for shaping society through technology.
A call for papers for the workshop is now open, with a deadline of April 30th, 2023.
Technology and the public good
Technology has become an integral part of our lives, and its impact on society is undeniable. From healthcare to education, finance to transportation, technology has transformed the way we live and work. However, the rapid pace of innovation also raises concerns about privacy, security, and equity. There is a pressing need to explore and propose solutions to these challenges through research, policy, regulation, partnerships, and collaborations across various academic disciplines.
This workshop aims to address these challenges and offer new insights and solutions by bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise from a wide range of researchers. Presenters from various disciplines will share and discuss ideas on how to leverage new and existing technologies for public purposes, integrate policy and governance considerations, and build successful partnerships across industry, and civil society that engage with democratic institutions and citizens.
Save the date: June 9th, 2023
